Cordoba, Argentina
Kara says:
Cordoba. This is where Karl thought about getting a job so we'd live here for 6 months or a year. Lucky that didn't work out!
Not alot to say. There are lots of old churches and monasteries. We arrived on a Sunday morning morning and the whole town seemed to be praying - in churches, on the streets, in processions - I think it might be the highlight of the week in Cordoba, another week an I'd probably have joined in myself.
Here are some photos of old buildings in Cordoba, lots of UNESCO sites.
Karl says: Kara was too nice, Cordoba was at best boring but usually unpleasant. Boring in the sense that we went to the cinema everyday and unpleasant in the sense that it was hard to find somewhere to eat away from the omnipresent smell of p1ss. It's a bit of a sad city. Nicknamed "La Docta" which means the erudite one because of it's rich jesuit history and university. Now it's quite decrepit and full of hard-faced people wishing they lived in Rosario.
